A private excursion to the Baths of Moses from Sharm El Sheikh is an opportunity to see and experience the center of ancient religious history, visit thermal springs, improve your health and get to know the Christian part of the Sinai Peninsula.
The baths or baths of Moses are underground sulfur springs in the form of 12 pools of warm water. At any time of the year, the water temperature is not lower than 26-28 degrees. From Sharm El Sheikh we will take you to the baths in a private transfer. The Baths of Moses are located at the foot of Mount Gebel El-Tur in the city of El-Tur, which is the administrative center of the South Sinai province. Travel time will take about 1.5 hours and will be 100 km. There is a small park area next to the Moses Baths.
In addition to the Moey baths, in the city of El-Tur there are Artesian springs, and water from five springs flows into a stone bath. The sulfurous water of the springs is used to treat rheumatism, osteoporosis, and has even been confirmed to have a positive effect and improve the condition of people with diabetes.
In history, namely the Old Testament, El-Turi is mentioned as the city of Elim, and it is stated: “…There were twelve springs of water and seventy date trees.” Under the leadership of Moses, the Jews settled there to rest, and to this day modern pilgrims begin their journey from here, in the footsteps of the prophet Moses. Also, pilgrims during their journey necessarily plunge into the water of thermal springs.

– Church of St. George
The history of the church is truly amazing! Initially, the name of the builder and founder was unknown for a long time. But in 1984, construction work was carried out at the site of the Raifa Lavra, during which the escalator motor suddenly stopped. The driver who approached the place heard a voice from the ground, and he shouted “Help!” Taking a shovel, the driver began to dig out a person who, in his opinion, could have been caught under the rubble. But the find was different. Having rested his shovel on the solid remains of the coffin and the preserved body of a man in monastic guise, he informed the abbot of the monastery about this. The relics of this monk were placed in the left aisle of the temple, and it is striking that not only the body, but also the eyes were well preserved. Soon a group of pilgrims from Cairo visited the church, and one of the women did not bow to the relics out of fear of the dead. That same night, after returning to Cairo, in a dream she saw an archimandrite in a robe, who told her that he was Gregory, the founder of the temple, and indicated the place of the inscription he left on the wall of the temple. This was soon confirmed, as indeed the following inscription was found on the wall of the temple: “I, Abbot Gregory, built this temple in 1887.”
